Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

From our house to yours we wish you a very joyous Christmas and every blessing in the coming year!

Minted provided cards in exchange for this post. All opinions and thoughts regarding the review of Minted.com products are my own.

By this time, I hope you are eagerly awaiting the filling of stockings and a night filled with visions of sugar plums.  But I didn’t want to miss sharing my freshly painted and decorated front door. I managed to get this little makeover done,  just in time for family and friends to arrive.

I also wanted to share one of my favorite traditions leading up to Christmas. I just adore receiving and sending holiday greetings from friends and family near and far. Our vintage Christmas house post is full again this year and just glancing over at the heartfelt greetings and smiling faces fills me with such joy.

While I understand the desire to simplify the Christmas season by eliminating mailing cards from an ever growing holiday to-do list.  Sending Christmas greetings is a tradition I find worth preserving.  For as many years as I can remember, I spent countless hours either hand crafting cards or creating unique digital versions on my computer and having them printed. This year I chose to simplify by having my cards done by Minted.

The holiday card choices at Minted were vast and extremely stylish, with all manor of customization options.  My favorite option was the foil leaf in gold, silver or even copper!   I also loved that there were many different ways you could customize the back of the card. After a very simple and straightforward ordering process, our cards arrived quickly and I found the printing to be extremely high quality.

Want to know my other favorite part? Printed envelopes! Yes, indeed that made the process extremely stress free! (I used to carefully hand stuff them into my printer small batches at a time and needless to say it was time consuming venture.)

There were so many unique styles of envelope and addressing designs too.  And being a graphic designer, I was like a kid in a candy store trying so very hard to pick just one! Once the cards arrived, all I had to do was tuck them in the envelope and pop a stamp on them!

I realize it’s a bit late to order Christmas cards, but have you ever received a New Year’s card? I have and I remember it being received with such delight! So even if you decided to release yourself from the drudgery of sending cards during the busiest times of the year, consider sending one of your favorite images from the next few days to your loved ones. They will love the thought just the same and you can wish them all the best in the New Year!

And that is what I wish for you too!  The very best Christmas ever and a joyous New Year!

This will likely be the last post of the year as I will be embracing every minute of the holiday with family and friends and celebrating the birth of our Savior.

But right after that I’ll be back to my regular DIY tricks.  I’m working on something grand for the first part of the new year. I hope to see you then!
