Naturally Fall Home Tour

Welcome, welcome! I am thrilled to invite y’all into my home as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Home Tours hosted by my sweet blogging friend April at House by Hoff and Krista of the Happy Housie.

This is my first time joining this fantastic line up of bloggers and I hope you take the time to go and visit each one of them.  Today is the last day of the tour and the very last stop!

This is also the first time I have invited y’all in for a full tour of our home, we like to call #theTrailHouseReno. We have now lived here just over a year and if you compared these photos with the befores, you will see that we accomplished quite a lot in that short period of time. You can read the whole story of how we ripped off the whole facade, reframed the arch and bricked the house. In addition to other major remodeling projects the story starts here.

For my fall decorating, like most any holiday I try to incorporate most of my existing decor and work with the color scheme. As I shared last post, I started on the porch with purples, ivory pumpkins and mums to coordinate with the front of the house. The magnolia leaves of the wreaths echo the magnolia trees in the front of our house.  You can read more about the porch here

Starting here in the foyer, you can see evidence of my passion for foliage and house plants.

The dinning room has it’s first debut on this tour.  We recently built this live edge pecan table and it showcases the naturally fall theme.

I created several little mossy, pumpkin and wood arrangements for the house.

They were super quick and easy to put together. Each one only took a few minutes once all of the supplies were gathered.

Affiliate links for your convenience.

While I didn’t set the table as I would for a holiday, this arrangement is just the right height and width to allow for easy entertaining around.

I chose to paint my dinning room this deep teal color as the first step in a complete makeover. The colors and the table are just the beginning for this room. It is actually the next room I will work on in this fall’s One Room Challenge.

As you might have seen before, this teal color is repeated in our budget remodeled kitchen.

In the kitchen, just small touches were added to bring the warmth of fall.

Some cut maple twigs and a few more white pumpkins.

While most of the copper accents are here year round they certainly bring in the rich hues synonymous with fall.

The beverage bar with the reclaimed shelves is one of my favorite spots we created in the renovation. This completely unused space gained function and expanded the look of the kitchen.

You can read more about our kitchen remodel here.

In the powder room, I found a new wooden vessel at Target and tucked in another maple branch. Again, simple touches are all that is needed.

In the living room, more woodsy, mossy arrangements are the perfect way to bring in the look of fall, especially for a plant loving person like me.

It wouldn’t be a tour of my house without my sweet Tucker photobombing.

Here are a few more close ups of the simple arrangements. Not only did they take minutes to make, with the mixture of small potted plants and moss, they will last the entire fall season.

Here, you can see the flow from the kitchen to the living room. We expanded this opening to let in more light from the kitchen and create a more open concept.

My blue and white pottery collection is growing and I corralled the pieces I pick up here and there in this book case for the fall.

My other favorite crafty project this fall was these decoupaged foliage pumpkins.

It is such a simple project it would be fun to create with children too!

While I used ceramic pumpkins, you could also use foam pumpkins and more traditional fall leaves. I’ll be creating a tutorial for this as well.

Another room I haven’t shared much is our master bedroom.

I actually just recently swapped this rug from the living room and love the bold blue and white in here.  I thought I would just keep it like this for the holidays, but I think it enlivens this room so much it might stay.

I mentioned the One Room Challenge earlier and to give you a hint at what that is like, here is last fall’s room, our master bathroom.

Can you believe that transformation happened in just 6 weeks? I still have to pinch myself sometimes when I get to walk into this bathroom.

The last stop on the tour today is the screened porch off the living room. While it is often enjoyed for just a few hours in the morning and evening during the hot summer months, with the cooler temps of fall we spend a significant amount of time relaxing out here.

Thank you for joining me on this extended tour of our home.  I just felt like it was finally time to really give y’all a good look around. While not every room looks the way I envision it, if you actually came over, I’d certainly invite you in for tea and show you around if you wanted. There’s no reason my blog friends should treated any differently.

I encourage you to visit all of the other insipirational tours in the link up.  I promise you will not be disappointed.
